Winemaking in the hilly Soave Classico region goes back to Roman times, with the rich volcanic soils providing a perfect setting for growing white grapes. While some things have changed over the last few thousand years, Inama is still making wines in the traditional, timeless style way they have since the founding of the estate in the 1960s. Their 30 prized hectares include the Carbonare vineyard, where old pergolas greet the morning sun and vines overlook a steep-sided valley. The complexity of the terroir shows through in the finished wine, which has aromas of citrus, flowers and minerals. With an effervescent acidity and an elegant finish, this is a brilliant match for oysters or zingy Asian cuisine.
