Barossa combines two of Australia’s most celebrated wine regions – the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley – into one zone. With its sun-baked climes, the former is known for its generous reds, made from some of the oldest surviving vineyards on earth. The latter is a leading cool-climate region, producing pristine and elegant whites. The Barossa might be best-known for Shiraz, but this Cabernet Sauvignon shows that it’s got other strings to its bow. The grapes for this have been carefully sourced from select growers in the Barossa and are cool- fermented to enhance the rich fruit flavours and soft tannins. Expect notes of blackberry, eucalyptus, black pepper and spice. It’s great for pairing with rich meat dishes thanks to is powerful and spicy character that stands up to bold flavours.
