Description
With roots dating back to 1717, Aimé Arnoux know a thing or two about traditional winemaking in the Rhône. Even in their 13th generation they still rely on centuries-old techniques and the power of exceptional terroir to get the job done. This 100% Syrah from the Mornas region near Avignon is a perfect example. Here the grape variety thrives in soils strewn with rounded ‘galets roulés’ stones and cooled by the Mistral winds. The finished wine shows a medley of blackcurrant, blueberry, smoke and toast notes, backdropped by plenty of freshness. Pair it with venison, duck breast, game, beef tenderloin or strong cheeses.
