Description
This wine is crafted exclusively from Schioppettino, a native grape of Friuli Venezia Giulia, known for its revival from near extinction in the 1970. After a careful harvest in early October, the grapes undergo a soft pressing and a 20-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months of ageing in large oak barrels. The result is a complex and structured wine with an intense red colour and purplish shades, offering a silky, slightly tannic texture.
