With a history daring back to the 16th century, this is one of the oldest estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It’s owned by the Guigal stable, and their winemaking expertise shines through in their grand vin. Made from equal proportions of grapes from the Château’s three plots, the blend is dominated by Grenache and Syrah, while Cinsault, Muscardin, Counoise and Mourvèdre bring complexity to the wine. Aged for 18 months, of which 30% in wood, this flagship wine will continue to age for 15-20 years. Expect ripe black fruits, spicy notes and hints of leather.
