Description
Gérard Bertrand is an icon of Languedoc winemaking. Once a professional rugby player, he’s now a pioneering figure in biodynamic vineyard practices – and was named Master Winemaker of the Year by The Drinks Business in 2023. He crafts this crisp Sauvignon with grapes harvested during the night, when cooler temperatures help to preserve their natural freshness and elegant aromas. A small part of the wine spends five months in oak barrels, giving it a fuller, rounded texture while still allowing the fruity flavours to take centre stage. Discover notes of citrus, gooseberry and green apple, plus tropical hints of guava and passionfruit thanks to the South of France’s warmer climate. Its zesty character and mineral finish will pair perfectly with fish and seafood dishes, or the richness of goat’s cheese. What’s more, this eye-catching bottle, sculpted into the shape of a rose, will make a fantastic dinner-table centrepiece.
