Description
Maison Antech is a family estate now in the hands of the sixth generation of winemakers. It’s mostly been passed down through the women of the family, and since 1996, Françoise Antech-Gazeau has been at the helm. With vineyards up to 400m above sea level and using only 100% hand harvested grapes, it’s no secret that the wines produced here are of exceptional quality. What’s more, this wine spends a minimum of 24 months on its lees, or spent yeast cells – far exceeding the nine month minimum the area requires. If you’re looking for your next sparkling wine, this is the one for you. A blend of 60% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin Blanc 20% and 20% Pinot Noir, it has notes of red summer berries and cherry blossom, plus a fresh acidity.
