Description
Family-run Maison Jean Loron started out as a wine grower in 1711 but later expanded to become a merchant and winemaker. As the oldest and largest name in the south of Burgundy, they see it as their mission to champion the region’s Gamay grape. Sustainability is a big part of their DNA, and they are environmentally certified to a high standard. Examples from the Cru of Régnié are often drunk while young, but the 2020 vintage delivered so much concentration it’s at its best now, after four years of ageing. Notes of strawberries, redcurrant, spice and minerals make it a brilliant match for full flavoured meat and veggie dishes.
