A straight rye whiskey named to honour Michter’s heritage harkening back to America’s first whiskey company. Renowned for rye – America’s oldest whiskey variety – since the earliest days of their history, every bottle of their excellent rye comes from a single barrel, highlighting the quality of their craft. It’s made from carefully selected rye grain that is sheared to maximise the extraction of flavour from the grain, then distilled to Master Distiller Dan Mc Kee’s exacting specifications. The No. 1 range is never released until Dan and the Michter’s full tasting panel deems it ready. It’s peppery and spicy with refreshing orange notes, sweet toffee and butterscotch highlights. Great for cocktails or enjoyed neat.
