Petaluma Tiers Chardonnay 2019, Piccadilly Valley

Description

From one of Petaluma’s excellent sites in the Piccadilly Valley, the coolest of South Australia’s vineyard areas, where the winery was founded by Brian Croser in 1979. The Tiers Vineyard is one of these plantings, on a relatively warm and low-lying part of the valley. A big and rounded Chardonnay with a lush, ripe backbone of white apple, peach and nectarine fruit, enhanced with delicate touches of toast and a focused acidity. Drink with roast chicken or turkey, or honey roast pork with apricot and sage stuffing.
