ABOUT THE WINESan Patrime produce a range of excellent value wines from Puglian local varieties.TASTING NOTESPlum, cherry, rosemary and vanilla aromas, which carry through to the palate. Deep and intense, with a mellow character typical of the variety.FOOD PAIRINGA perfect (American style) pizza wine; very good with roast meat or rich goulash.FRIARWOOD SAYSAged for 6 months in concrete vats. The Primitivo grape variety was brought to Puglia from Slovenia in the 1800s, at about the same time at which it made the journey to America, where it became known as Zinfandel.
