ABOUT THE WINE. The Doublet family has been rooted in the vineyards of Bordeaux since the end of the 18th century when the chateau was re-designed after a Louisiana mansion. The property was once owned by the famous philosopher Montesquieu, who believed the wine helped to open his mind.. TASTING NOTES. A refreshing, crisp dry white. Aromas of apple, pear and melon, with stronger notes of green apple and pear on the palate. Hints of matcha tea on the finish.. FOOD PAIRING. Creamy dishes, spicy chicken and grilled white fish.. FRIARWOOD SAYS. A fine example of inexpensive white Bordeaux.
