Dartmoor Distillery Sherry Cask Whisky is part of a range of beautiful whiskies made in its rare Cognac still with barley grown at Preston Farm, Dartmoor, and malted at the famous Warminster Maltings.. In contrast to many sherry expressions that are only finished in sherry casks, Dartmoor age their Sherry whisky in Oloroso sherry casks from start to finish – this gives plenty of time for the spirit to take on a rich, golden colour, sherry aromas and a complex  flavour profile.. Find sweet sherry, hazelnut, coconut, marzipan and sultanas on the palate, with hints of gingerbread and treacle.. This barrel comes from the Jerez region in Spain where sherry is produced. These casks are some of the most exclusive and expensive we purchase because of the beautifully sweet and rich flavours they impart on whisky.
