The Champagne Boizel Blanc de Blancs ‘La Côte’ Premier Cru NV is an exceptional cuvée from one of Champagne’s most respected family-owned houses, established in 1834. Now in its 6th generation, led by brothers Lionel and Florent Boizel, the house continues its tradition of crafting elegant Champagnes from premier vineyards across the region. This Blanc de Blancs is sourced exclusively from the Côte des Blancs, the most celebrated region for Chardonnay in Champagne. It blends Grand Cru grapes from Chouilly, Avize, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger with Premier Cru fruit from Vertus. The chalky subsoils of the region impart a unique minerality to the wine, while the gentle pressing of the grapes and careful vinification process preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit. On the nose, expect delicate aromas of citrus, white flowers, and brioche, with subtle notes of almond and toasted hazelnut. The palate is crisp and elegant, with flavours of lemon zest, green apple, and a chalky minerality, all balanced by a creamy texture from its three years of lees ageing. A touch of reserve wine (20%) adds further complexity. This Premier Cru Champagne pairs beautifully with oysters, seafood, or soft cheeses, and is an ideal choice for any celebration.
