Created in a controlled environment using innovative technological processes, Lab Grown Diamonds feature chemical, physical and optical properties identical to that of earth-mined diamonds with extreme pressure and heat replicating the natural formation. Created from pure crystallized carbon, Lab Grown Diamonds can be grown in two ways, using a High Pressure and High Temperature (HPHT) environment or by Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD). Cooksongold stocks a mixture of both HPHT and CVD Diamonds. The quality of a diamond is assessed according to four factors, known as `The 4 C`s` – Colour, Clarity, Carat Weight and Cut. The colour of this particular diamond is D and the clarity is VS. The weight of this stone is approximately 0.008 Carats or 0.8 points (100 points = 1 carat). This diamond measures 1.2mm and is in a classic round brilliant cut. Please note, these measurements are an approximation as every Lab Grown Diamond has unique attributes and a slight tolerance of +/-0.05mm should be expected with these stones. Diamond has a hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 3.50 to 3.53.
