Round Cabochon (flat backed) Natural gemstone Hardness: 4 on the Mohs scale Healing properties: Stabilising, Harmonising, Cleansing Fluorite is a mineral form of calcium fluorite, characterised by its wide variety of translucent to transparent colours, resulting in it sometimes being called `the most colourful mineral in the world`. Multiple colours can be contained within the same stone with banding and striping commonly present. Fluorite has generally been known as the `genius stone` due to its ability to boost concentration and help stabilise and harmonise the mind. This round fluorite cabochon measures 10mm. Fluorite has a hardness of 4 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 3.2. Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each cabochon is unique so colours, patterns and banding will vary and slight natural inclusions are sometimes faintly visible. Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place fluorite stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Fluorite can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth. It is advised to avoid exposing fluorite to prolonged periods of heat and light. A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these fluorites are sold individually.
