Green Tourmaline, Round Cabochon 6mm

Description

Green tourmaline, also know as verdelite, is the green gem variety of the mineral tourmaline. Green tourmaline has generally been known as a stone of rejuvenation and growth and is excellent for encouraging healing and vitality. This round green tourmaline cabochon measures 6mm. Green tourmaline has a hardness of 7 – 7.5 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 2.90 to 3.40. Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each stone is unique so colours will vary and natural inclusions and zoning will be present. Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place tourmaline stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Green tourmaline can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth. It is advised to avoid exposing green tourmaline to prolonged periods of heat and light. A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these green tourmalines are sold individually.
