Hematite, Oval Cabochon, 7x5mm

Description

Hematite is the mineral form of Iron oxide, easily identifiable by its dark gunmetal colour and high shine surface finish. Hematite can help to ground and protect and is excellent for stabilising emotions and bringing courage and strength. This oval hematite cabochon measures 7mm x 5mm. Hematite has a hardness of 5.5 – 6.5 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 5.26. Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each cabochon is unique so colours may vary. Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place hematite stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Hematite can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth. A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these hematite are sold individually.
