Description
Compact, innovative TIG pulse arc welder Welds gold, platinum, silver as well as titanium, nickel & tin alloys Ideal for beginners and professionals Powerful SM6 Microscope with 10x magnification Up to 3.3 welding spots per second Regulator to maintain optimal flow of argon Contact us to arrange an in-store or virtual demonstration The Lampert PUK 6 TIG welder is an innovative pulse arc welder that offers exceptional performance and precision, it is specifically designed by jewellers for jewellers. The Lampert PUK 6 offers a range of presets, all tried and tested on metals and work environments used in the jewellery industry. A beginner or professional jeweller will have no problem navigating the interface, choosing parameters, and creating clean, strong welds straight away. The PUK 6 is capable of welding all types of metals, including gold, silver, platinum, and stainless steel with precision and accuracy. It can also be used on titanium, nickel, and tin alloys. The PUK 6 features a micro-welding technique that allows for precise welding at lower temperatures. This minimises the risk of thermal distortion or damage to thin delicate metals and gemstones. TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welders use a tungsten electrode to produce an arc that melts and fuses metals together. A shielding gas such as argon is used to protect against oxygen contamination of the metal. If at any point you need to stop working, simply move the workpiece away from the tip of the electrode. Technical data for this device: Frequency : 50Hz Voltage : 230 V AC Power consumption stand-by mode : 8-10 W Power consumption : 300 W Closed circuit voltage : 25-43V No-load voltage : 43V Max current : 4.4A Max operation temp : 60° Shielding gas : Argon Duty cycle : 80% Max charging time – 0.8 s Pulse duration – 1.5 ms Number of metal programs – 12 Welding speed – up to 3 Hz The main features of the PUK 6 include: 70% higher screen resolution for improved viewing angle Standby mode: Continuous availability but at 85 % lower energy consumption Up to 3.3 welding spots per second Smoother weld spots and excellent weld seam Lower thermal impact which protects delicate metals and gemstones Higher heat input where needed 50% smaller welding spots in low power range Minimal pulse duration now down to 0.1 ms – 67 % shorter welding time in micro mode Can weld metals under 0.2mm thickness The SM6 microscope features a high-precision lens with 10x magnification, 20mm diameter field of view, and an LCD eye protection system. This protects against UV and IR radiation generated when welding. It also comes with height and tilt adjustment, as well as hand rests to minimise fatigue, ensuring optimal comfort and ease whilst working. Other features of the SM6 Microscope include: Powerful LED lighting in the head of the microscope 4 adjustable brightness levels to provide optimal illumination of the area being worked upon Suitable for use as an observation microscope To ensure a dependable weld, it is important to maintain the appropriate flow rate of argon gas. The regulator maintains the recommended flow of 2 litres per minute. The flow controller is exclusively designed for the low gas flow rates used in PUK welding, and is suitable for argon gas cylinders supplied in the UK.
