Pink Tourmaline, Round Cabochon 6mm

Pink tourmaline, also know as rubellite, is the pink to red gem variety of the mineral tourmaline. Pink tourmaline has generally been known as a stone of love and compassion and is excellent for healing and emotional support. This round pink tourmaline cabochon measures 6mm. Pink tourmaline has a hardness of 7 – 7.5 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 3.01 to 3.06. Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each stone is unique so colours will vary and natural inclusions and zoning will be present. Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place tourmaline stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Pink tourmaline can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth. It is advised to avoid exposing pink tourmaline to prolonged periods of heat and light. A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these pink tourmalines are sold individually.
