Rhodolite Garnet, Round, 3.5mm

Description

Rhodolite is a variety of garnet, made up of pyrope and almandine in composition and is easily distinguishable by its purplish plum tones. The birthstone for january, rhodolite garnet has generally been known as the stone of inspiration. Garnet is excellent for revitalising energy and inspiring love and passion, whilst rhodolite garnet symbolises self worth and emotional healing. This round faceted rhodolite garnet stone measures 3.5mm. Rhodolite garnet has a hardness of 7 – 7.5 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 3.84. Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each stone is unique so colours will vary and slight natural inclusions and zoning may be present. Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place rhodolite garnet stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Garnet can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth. It is advised to avoid exposing rhodolite garnet to prolonged periods of heat and light. A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these garnets are sold individually.
