Solid Wood With A Rustic Finish To make our Heaton ladder-style bedside tables we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each bedside table is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature's own stamp of approval. In this style, you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood, every bedside table will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note: Placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features. We choose to work with wax as it enhances the look of the grains and features in the wood, bringing it to life. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Care & Clean Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more. Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place. As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces. If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
