Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a sleeker, contemporary finish to the solid wood, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features. Please note: Placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features. Five Fine Wax Finishes Our Sandyford Console Table is finished with a supreme wax polish. It's professionally applied, by hand. We choose to work with wax as it enhances the look of the grains and features in the wood, bringing it to life. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. All you need to is unpack it and place it wherever you choose in your home. Due to the weight of solid wood furniture we would recommend two people are present for assembly. Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place. As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces. If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
