The chamomile that we use is the German chamomile species and grows wild in Bulgaria. Chamomile has been used for centuries as a well-known herbal remedy for a range of skin conditions. It can be used to treat and soothe irritation and inflammation and to help to heal wounds. The extract has anti-microbial, anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and analgesic properties. Chamomile also shows vasodilator action, thus improving blood flow and helping the skin to appear brighter and more refreshed.
