Cellar for up to 20 years. Decant for up to an hour before serving. This Cabernet Sauvignon opens up with a robust and fruity nose. Scents of blackberry, plum and chocolate mingle with hints of leather and smoke, a classic profile for lovers of bold red wines. The fruits were sourced from estate-owned vineyards, and planted in special micro-climates in the region of Gualtallary, Argentina. Finca Ambrosia was founded in 2002 as a grower estate, supplying top-quality grapes to famous Argentinian producers such as Trapiche and Zorzal. It wasn’t until 2011 that the founders – a group of wine-loving friends who discovered the untapped potential of Gualtallary – spread their wings and employed a local wine-maker to create Finca Ambrosia’s very first vintage. The Precioso Cabernet Sauvignon is a seamless representation of one of Gualtallary’s most special terroirs. Sandy soils scattered with calcium-carbonate-rich veins of granite lend themselves to the wine’s subtle chalky side. However, the palate is dominated by jammy notes of plum, blackberry and cassis, with a strong undercurrent of tobacco and chocolate. You can also discover fine-grained tannins and a balanced, lively acidity. Pair this Cabernet with a steak, a herb-crusted rack of lamb, or a beef stew.
