Native to the ‘Spice Islands' of Indonesia, Nutmeg essential oil is extracted from the seeds of the Myristica Fragrans tree. Known mostly for its uses in cookery, Nutmeg is also a powerful player in modern aromatherapy, adding a nurturing and cheering element to many cosmetic blends. Use in massage blends to help lift anxiety and low mood or vaporise to help balance mood swings and overcome negative emotions.

Potentially carcinogenic, based on Safrole and Methyl eugenol content. Due to the potential risks caused by improper use, Nutmeg essential oil should only be used by professional Aromatherapists.
