Description
Gimblett Gravels is one of New Zealand’s premier wine-growing regions. Here, the unique soils are capable of producing stunning red wines – and Craggy Range know just how to get the best out of it. A favourite of Majestic customers, the family-owned winery has been honing their craft since the began in 1998. This wine is produced from vines originating from a Heritage clone of Syrah brought to New Zealand approximately 150 years ago. When it comes to premium Syrah that really shows a sense of place, it’s hard to find a better wine than this. Expect notes of olive tapenade, mulberries and spicy, gamey notes. A perfect balance of savoury and fruity flavours, it’s the ideal wine for a herby rack of lamb or duck confit.
